Tiny Green Anole

I was at the Week’s Bay Pitcher Plant Bog last week and lucked into seeing this tiny little green anole. I was out by the river and just happened to see the weeds move beside the boardwalk. I couldn’t see this lizard at first but knew something was making the grass move. I sat down on the boardwalk and shot these between the side rails. I estimated his body to be about 2″ long. I’m just fascinated by these little creatures!

Quite the little acrobat! And the purple flowers makes a nice contrast to his green color. Really enjoyed this series.

In addition to your excellent photography, you are sure learning a lot about nature. This little guy looks like he belongs in a Geico commercial.
