Photography can be quite an educational endeavor. In fact checking the name of this particular plant, I came across some surprising information about dock plants. They have been used by Native Americans and others for medicinal uses, a remedy for nettle stings, a source of tannin used in the leather tanning process, food and as a conserving wrap for butter! Who knew?
